Emily and Matt had such a lovely Ontario cottage wedding – they got married at her parents’ home in Creemore, Ontario. I love the idea of getting married at a place that has such significance to a family.
Nestled amongst the tall pines on the big day were tents, as some of their guests camped out there the night before. How cool is that?
The scenery was just phenomenal – Emily’s mom’s gardening prowess meant colourful blooms and winding vines caressed the landscape.
Emily’s aunt lent her floral arrangement skills to create the centrepieces in their outdoor tent reception.
The vibe of the day, though completely exciting, was also relaxed and calm, as the sun shone, breeze blew, and happy bug and bird sounds lightly added to the atmosphere.
After their first look and wedding party portraits they got married poolside – what a unique and awesome spot to hold a ceremony! The sun beamed over their first kiss like a blessing from the skies – it was a good day to get married.
During cocktail hour guests enjoyed their personalized cocktails, croquet and a DIY photobooth with a frame strung from a tree.
We snuck away for some sunset photos and a private moment, then joined in at the laugh and love-filled reception.
Emily and Matt, it was such an incredible joy to join you for your special day and document these happy memories for you.
I hope you have an incredible life together!
Without further adieu, here are some snapshots from their special day:

And if you can’t get enough of these two, revisit their engagement session, also at the cottage!
