Pioneer Village Wedding You may remember Morgan and Nicolas from their engagement session – Well, they’re now married! Boy was it ever a great day.As you may remember, I went to elementary school with Morgan, and these days she actually works with my husband at the ROM! Naturally, he had to come as my assistant that day! (He’s in some photos with black shorts and a black buttoned shirt.) Their wedding was in London, Ontario at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. We stayed over the night before in their old apartment, a house rented by his parents now as an Air BnB. The backyard was lush and lovely and I had to… Keep Reading
Romantic George Restaurant Wedding | Carolyn & Nick
Romantic George Restaurant Wedding Carolyn and Nick – Ah, how my heart holds this couple dear. They are two of the sweetest and kindest souls. You may remember them from their engagement session. Their intimate downtown Toronto restaurant wedding was held at the charming George Restaurant. The plan was originally to have their ceremony in the lovely outdoor courtyard, but Mother Nature had other plans and it rained all day. That’s ok, they say it’s good luck, and in the case of their wedding day I’d say that was certainly the case: The backup location for the ceremony was quite dark, but by golly did it make for a super… Keep Reading

TTC travellers, they hopped on the Cherry St. streetcar. Fitting, since their last name is Cherry! Then in the Distillery District, and they had an intimate Archeo wedding reception – complete with loads of laughter and emotion. This couple and their family wear their hearts on their sleeves in the best kind of way. Here are some highlights from their wedding, along with reflections from the happy couple themselves at the end. I dare you to try not to smile…. Keep Reading

Dark Floral Wedding Inspiration
DARK FLORAL WEDDING INSPIRATION Moody wedding ideas with an elegant, romantic edge. Originally inspired by the moody floral backdrops in interior design, Denise from Make my Day Count explored the juxtaposition of light and airy florals and loose greenery against an architectural beauty of a building, the Hartman Gallery. Photographed by Anastasia of Olive Photography, the textures of velvet, linen and lace bring back nostalgic thoughts that the space longs for. Lace gowns by Catherine Langlois compliment the look with a current and fresh look in Make-Up by Nicole Richards. A harvest table laden with antiques courtesy of Sandra from the Hartman Gallery and lush velvet runner by Susan Murray are complimented perfectly by the asymmetrical… Keep Reading
Alton Mill Wedding | Julia & Josh
Soo, going through this wedding to pick out photos for the blog made me tear up. Yup, I’ll admit it. I’m such a sap for love-filled gazes – and this one had SO many. I especially loved the tearful and heartfelt moments with the parents and grandparents. *sigh* And their first dance under the twinkly lights! Julia and Josh met at Ryerson while doing their undergrad – funny story, I though Josh looked familiar when we initially met, and then we discovered we actually had a class together too! Small world, eh? On their wedding day they got ready at the Millcroft Inn, then got married at Alton Mill. Both… Keep Reading
Toronto Wedding Photo Locations: James Gardens
Toronto wedding photo locations: James Gardens Sometimes it can be difficult figuring out where to take your wedding portraits. Some venues have really great spots immediately surrounding them, but others maybe not so much. So, I thought I’d share a really lovely location that Liane and Justin found for their wedding portraits: James Gardens. The area is filled with gorgeous lush gardens that are a perfect balance of manicured and natural-feeling. There are interesting architectural features like bridges, gazebos & paths, along with the natural landscape. It’s located in the West part of Toronto off Royal York Rd, mid-way between Eglinton and Dundas. Here are a few images that show some… Keep Reading
Gladstone Hotel Winter Wedding | Belinda & Conor
Belinda and Conor had a cozy, intimate Winter wedding at the Gladstone Hotel in downtown Toronto. They opted to keep their wedding party to just the two of them, and since it was so cold we did all their photos on-premises as well. Lucky for us The Gladstone Hotel has some super dynamic window light to play with! The bright sun that day created a super interesting juxtaposition against the shadows of the interior, creating a slightly more ‘moody’ feel to the photographs than I usually take, but I really dig the effect! They had two ceremonies, one being a Jewish Ketubah signing & unveiling with immediate family, and the… Keep Reading
Cambium Farms Wedding | Caitlin & Jesse
Their wedding was at Cambium Farms, a scenic and relaxed environment for their laid back and totally fun wedding. These two have hearts of gold. So much warmth and happiness on this special day. But not only that, they also know how to have tonnes of fun. And by tonnes, I really mean tonnes. Case in point: Yup, those are bums. The pants come off during dancing too. You’ll see if you scroll down. I don’t know if I’ve laughed quite so much at any other wedding. In any case, here are some peeks at Caitlin and Josh’s special day! What. a. day. But seriously, such a riot! Thanks for inviting me… Keep Reading
Estates of Sunnybrook/McLean House Wedding Open House
Estates of Sunnybrook/McLean House Wedding Open House Some of you may be aware already of the open houses that venues throw annually for engaged couples planning their wedding, and if you aren’t then let me tell you about them! Venues across the city open their doors in the winter time – right after ‘engagement season’ (yes, that’s a thing!) – to showcase their space as a potential place to host your nuptials, and also to share some great vendors and wedding planning inspiration. On Sunday, January 22nd the Estates of Sunnybrook hosted their open house, and I thought I’d take my camera to snap a few photos. I’m glad… Keep Reading
