Guys, today was really special. Today I met Simon. Simon is the absolutely *precious* brand new baby of Catherine and Alex, whose engagement and wedding I photographed last year. Sibling to @pugfranktravels (Frank was so patient and sweet with him!), Simon is the perfect combination of his two parents. At first I was amazed at how much he looks like Alex, but then he changed his facial expression and all I saw was Catherine. So cool how one person can look so much like the two who made him. I asked them, “What’s been the coolest thing so far?” Catherine said it’s the fact that she was able to grow… Keep Reading
Milk Bath Maternity Photos
Milk Bath Maternity Photos This concept is a little different than many maternity photos you may have seen. It’s kind of nice when you think of it – hanging out in a warm bath, sort of like your baby is doing. Mix in some pretty flowers – customizable to your taste and colour preferences – and you’ve got an extra layer of beauty, in addition to your own. Why milk bath, and not a regular bath? The opaqueness adds some modesty, hiding things you may not want others to see. Plus, it just looks cool. * Like how different/interesting this looks? Instructions to DIY are at the bottom of the post! * The little heart! This… Keep Reading
Maternity Photography Toronto – Indoor Session
I had the honour of photographing a dear friend during this remarkable time in her life. She looks absolutely incredible, and I got emotional several times during the shoot because of how special what she’s going through is. The baby kicked throughout the session when I exclaimed with excitement while shooting. That was something. I really loved photographing this maternity self-appreciation session. I think it’s so important to take time to pause and take in just how amazing growing a life within you really is. Because it is. And you look beautiful whether you feel it or not. I hear it all the time – pregnant women call themselves ‘whales’… Keep Reading
Fall Family Session at Cedarvale Ravine
This sweet family came to me through a gift certificate given to them by one of their friends. When I got the e-mail asking if I could do that I thought it was such a thoughtful gift! This is something that will last – they will be able to revisit these photos when their little boy isn’t quite so little anymore. I didn’t realize they were also Greek, and they talked to their son in Greek as well. It was sort of neat to be walking around doing a session and talking in another language. Exercise for the mind! We had a great time exploring one of my favourite places… Keep Reading
Toronto Family Photography – Laura, Zach + Madison
This little lady! With bright, excited eyes and one of the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen, she will instantly win your heart. She is teeming with energy, and it comes out and little wiggles and happy squeals. She is quite a character already. It was so great to meet Madison. It is especially heartwarming for me to photograph this beautiful child because she is the daughter of two incredibly wonderful people, Laura and Zach, whose engagement session, wedding, and maternity session I had the complete honour of photographing. It’s hard for me to put into words the feeling of warmth I’m filled with when I think about this family. I love spending time with them,… Keep Reading
Toronto Newborn Photography – Francesca
Toronto Newborn Photography Her name is Francesca. She is the product of over a decade of love between two sweet souls who were countries apart for most of their courtship. Mark moved to Toronto when they got engaged, and Denise got in touch when they wanted someone to create a photographic record of their love’s journey. It’s hard to put into words how transcendent it feels to meet this little human who was just a twinkle in her parents’ eyes not too long ago. I got to see them excited about building a life together. I got to hear them make promises and talk about their dreams. And I certainly got… Keep Reading
Toronto Family Photography – The Avis Family
I recently reconnected with my grade 7 Science teacher, and she’s been such a sweet and enthusiastic fan of my work. This family came to me as a gift from her – Michael, the father, was actually also a student of hers! How nice is it that she’s staying in touch and showing such support for her former students? Around about age 2, it seems kiddos LOVE the fact that they can run. Which means they don’t want to sit still for photos! I can’t blame them – Running and exploring is waaay more fun. So, I move around with them, and inevitably when they smile or make an awesome face at… Keep Reading
Toronto Family Photographer – Cedarvale Ravine
As a Toronto family photographer I get to meet and spend time with some really special people who fill my heart right up. The amount of love that radiates from parents for their children is unparalleled – it makes me well up just thinking about it – it’s just so beautiful. And the care-free, unabashed playfulness and massive smiles from the kids is somethin’ else. Though I primarily photograph weddings, a big part of why I do what I do is to document the joy and love in life – so naturally families have to be a part of that! I was so excited when Allyson and Stacey contacted me for… Keep Reading
Toronto Maternity Photographer – Old Mill
Toronto Maternity Photographer – Old Mill Aaah, nothing quite like knowing there’s a little bebe inside another human being. It’s really awe-inspiring. I was so honoured when Maura, a former classmate of mine, reached out to ask me to help commemorate and preserve this incredibly precious moment in her and her hubby Matt’s lives. We went to Old Mill for this maternity session, and though the clouds kept rolling in and interrupting the light, we were able to snap some quite beautiful shots. I’m really excited to share these. Here are some of my favourites of this beautiful mama-to-be <3
Toronto Pet Photography – Eini, Celso & Hunter
Toronto Pet Photography – Eini, Celso & Hunter It was so wonderful spending time with Eini and Celso again – I had the pleasure of photographing their beautifully full love for their wedding at Toronto’s Fantasy Farm back on the first day of Spring. They got in touch to do this session with their fur baby Hunter when the weather warmed back up again, and I was of course so excited! I was looking forward to seeing them again, and it was a super big bonus that I’d get to meet their pup – I absolutely adore animals 🙂 As before, their smiles were totally contagious – they have a really… Keep Reading
