Toronto Island Engagement Session When I first heard from Amanda and Markus, I learned that their dog’s name is Olive. ‘It’s meant to be!’, I thought. What a nice coincidence! I was thrilled to meet Olive at the start of their engagement session – their sweet, energetic, totally loving cutie pie pup. She’s one of those dogs who doesn’t realize how big she is and she’ll plop right down in your lap – so endearing. We went for a walk around their Cabbagetown neighbourhood exploring some of their favourite streets and taking in the rather warm Fall day. After a few photos with Olive we brought her back home then visited a… Keep Reading
U of T Engagement Session – Jess & Adam
U of T Engagement Session Adam and Jessica – could two people be more adorable? We tossed around a few ideas of where to do their engagement session but ultimately landed on where they went to university together. Why not bring it back to where it all began! The University of Toronto is so incredibly picturesque – everywhere you turn is another gorgeous sight! We met at the quad and casually walked around, taking in the sights. The evening was beautiful, which made us so glad we decided to reschedule from an earlier date when it was rainy. (Though rain can be totally cool for photos, the sun during our… Keep Reading
Harry Potter Engagement Session – Diana & Pat
I had to post these Harry Potter engagement photos today for Halloween! She loves Harry Potter so much that they brought wands to their engagement session. And the Fall season was perfect for it! “Wingardium Leviosa!!” He knew how much she digs the series and he even staged a Harry Potter-themed proposal — So thoughtful: Diana and Pat had been dating for 8 years until last year when he finally decided to propose-in the most magical way possible. Knowing Diana’s love of all things Harry Potter, he decorated the house and set up a scavenger hunt with clues referencing each of the 7 books – this involved hiding the golden snitch,… Keep Reading
Ontario Cottage Engagement Session
Ooh, I was so excited to shoot this Ontario cottage engagement session! There’s nothing quite like a visit to the cottage. As someone who lives in the bustling, often smoggy city of Toronto (which I absolutely love, don’t get me wrong!), the clear, fresh air that comes with vast expanses of nature is invigorating. Pair that with the relaxed, care-free vibe that you can’t help but adopt in such a magnificently beautiful place, and you have a recipe for a great time. Emily and Matt are having their wedding at Emily’s parents’ home/’cottage’ near Creemore, Ontario, and we decided to take some engagement photos as we explored the property in… Keep Reading
Toronto Island Engagement Session
Xanthi and I went to high school together, so this Toronto Island engagement session was extra special. When she messaged me to let me know she and Mani got engaged I was so thrilled for them! When she asked if I’d photograph their engagement photos for their public engagement reveal I was beyond excited. We chose to shoot their photos on Centre Island because of the wonderful variety of locations it offers – beach, nature, farm, and Centreville! Though Centreville was closed, it was so much fun walking around and reminiscing about the place we’d visited as kids. I’ll be honest, it made me want to go back when it opens again to go… Keep Reading
Pillow Fight & Old Mill Engagement Photos
Pillow Fight & Old Mill Engagement Photos I love the idea of doing a home engagement session. Cozy and comfortable, in your own element. This was a super fun one. Who doesn’t love a pillow fight! I met with hotties (I mean, seriously) Chloe and Andrew at their beautiful home where they greeted me in true comfortable style – yeah, PJs! We hung out like they often do on a weekend morning, chilling out in the living room and reading the paper in bed – then we turned the fun factor up to 11! After the fluffy fun they changed and we headed over Old Mill since it’s close to where… Keep Reading
Guelph Engagement Session
Nikki and Andrew decided they wanted a Guelph engagement session to bring them back to their roots. They met at the start of their university careers, at the University of Guelph. Both of them didn’t know what the future had in store for them, and they became really great friends throughout their undergrad. Back then they would hang out around their dorm residence (featured in the photos here), and they’d toss around a football and enjoy each other’s friendship.Little did they know that some time after graduating they’d reconnect and sparks would fly. Now, 6 years later, after an intimate and thoughtful home proposal (Andrew took time off to make sure he could… Keep Reading
Raptors & High Park Engagement Photos
Raptors engagement photos? Such a fun idea! Lesley and Peter are big sports fans – They particularly enjoy watching Raptors basketball games. They also like going to concerts. With that in mind, since I love photographing couples in environments that reflect their unique story, it just made sense to photograph part of their engagement session at the Air Canada Centre. This was a unique location that was a blast to shoot! I asked Lesley and Peter to bring a basketball to their session to incorporate as a cheeky little prop – and I just adore how cutely it showcased this couple’s super cute height difference when we had Lesley stand on it to reach… Keep Reading
Sentimental High Park Engagement Session
Catherine and Alex chose to do a High Park engagement session – Not necessarily for the Sakura blossoms (though that was certainly a pretty bonus), but for sentimental reasons. Decades ago, Alex’s parents had their wedding photos taken at High Park, and since Alex’s parents are no longer with us, honouring them in this way meant a lot to them. There is a bridge in the middle of High Park that Alex particularly wanted to take a picture on since they have a photograph of his parents standing on it – so amazing to think that back in time, his parents stood on the very same spot. It was also really special to learn… Keep Reading
High Park Cherry Blossom Engagement
They met in Taipei, then, as though living in a movie, they met up in many cities around the world before finally deciding to settle in together where he lived, in Toronto. Read their love story below to learn about why they chose a High Park cherry blossom engagement session! From the couple themselves: “Our story is very simple, with just a tiny bit of a modern twist. We were both working too hard and didn’t have the time nor the luck to find the other half. Then we met online and everything just clicked so well and so soon. After meeting for the first time in Taipei (4 months… Keep Reading
