Toronto Maternity Photographer – Old Mill Aaah, nothing quite like knowing there’s a little bebe inside another human being. It’s really awe-inspiring. I was so honoured when Maura, a former classmate of mine, reached out to ask me to help commemorate and preserve this incredibly precious moment in her and her hubby Matt’s lives. We went to Old Mill for this maternity session, and though the clouds kept rolling in and interrupting the light, we were able to snap some quite beautiful shots. I’m really excited to share these. Here are some of my favourites of this beautiful mama-to-be <3
Pillow Fight & Old Mill Engagement Photos
Pillow Fight & Old Mill Engagement Photos I love the idea of doing a home engagement session. Cozy and comfortable, in your own element. This was a super fun one. Who doesn’t love a pillow fight! I met with hotties (I mean, seriously) Chloe and Andrew at their beautiful home where they greeted me in true comfortable style – yeah, PJs! We hung out like they often do on a weekend morning, chilling out in the living room and reading the paper in bed – then we turned the fun factor up to 11! After the fluffy fun they changed and we headed over Old Mill since it’s close to where… Keep Reading
Guelph Engagement Session
Nikki and Andrew decided they wanted a Guelph engagement session to bring them back to their roots. They met at the start of their university careers, at the University of Guelph. Both of them didn’t know what the future had in store for them, and they became really great friends throughout their undergrad. Back then they would hang out around their dorm residence (featured in the photos here), and they’d toss around a football and enjoy each other’s friendship.Little did they know that some time after graduating they’d reconnect and sparks would fly. Now, 6 years later, after an intimate and thoughtful home proposal (Andrew took time off to make sure he could… Keep Reading
Toronto Backyard Wedding
Lindsay and Adam are two of the sweetest, most kind people I have ever met. I truly mean that. They have such big hearts and are the type of people who genuinely open themselves up to you and let you in – and it feels like the warmest hug. They had a beautiful intimate ‘little big day’ with their closest friends and family. After a City Hall ceremony we went to a restaurant around the corner from their home for some of the most mouth-wateringly delicious vegetarian food I have ever had (Lindsay and Adam love animals so much – they even have 3 kitties, and they’re vegetarians), and after… Keep Reading
Toronto Pet Photography – Eini, Celso & Hunter
Toronto Pet Photography – Eini, Celso & Hunter It was so wonderful spending time with Eini and Celso again – I had the pleasure of photographing their beautifully full love for their wedding at Toronto’s Fantasy Farm back on the first day of Spring. They got in touch to do this session with their fur baby Hunter when the weather warmed back up again, and I was of course so excited! I was looking forward to seeing them again, and it was a super big bonus that I’d get to meet their pup – I absolutely adore animals 🙂 As before, their smiles were totally contagious – they have a really… Keep Reading
Rosewater Room Wedding
Susan and Ike had a Rosewater Room wedding in downtown Toronto – I love a full-on city wedding – lots of fun and totally interesting locations for photos! Susan and Ike have a love that is without pretension, is youthful and jovial, joyful and free – They care about each other with a confident and beautiful abandon – two individual souls who can exist and support one another in the most admiring way.I was really touched watching how magnetically drawn to each other they are, seeming completely elated to be in each other’s arms, yet also how totally happy they are watching each other enjoy themselves in the crowd of… Keep Reading
Sentimental High Park Engagement Session
Catherine and Alex chose to do a High Park engagement session – Not necessarily for the Sakura blossoms (though that was certainly a pretty bonus), but for sentimental reasons. Decades ago, Alex’s parents had their wedding photos taken at High Park, and since Alex’s parents are no longer with us, honouring them in this way meant a lot to them. There is a bridge in the middle of High Park that Alex particularly wanted to take a picture on since they have a photograph of his parents standing on it – so amazing to think that back in time, his parents stood on the very same spot. It was also really special to learn… Keep Reading
Wedding Day Schedule – The Important Itinerary!
Why is a properly planned wedding day schedule important? Do you really have to create a detailed itinerary? (Short answer: Yes. It makes the day flow soooo much smoother!) Your wedding day is such a whirlwind of events, and it’s easy to get lost in the flow of it all – And that’s totally ok! It’s super important for you to be able to relax and be present, truly enjoying your day without a worry. But, in order to be able to do that, some planning before your big day is so critical. For example, it’s amazingly helpful to have a detailed itinerary for your wedding day planned out. With so… Keep Reading
Ward’s Island Engagement Session
We decided Ike and Susan should have a Ward’s Island engagement session because it is close to their home and, well, let’s just be honest, it’s amazing. The Toronto Island is one of my favourite places to hang out, so I’m always excited to shoot there – any excuse to spend time there and I’m in! Even in the Winter… It’s just magical. It was neat that we could actually see Ike and Susan’s building from the island – as the sun set it was pretty incredible to see the warm glow of the sun radiating not just over the skyline, but also through all the condo/office windows! Like our… Keep Reading
