I met Chantalle and Dominic at a wedding – They were manning their super cool vintage-themed photobooth and I clicked with their totally laid back, friendly, fun-loving personalities instantly.
When we parted ways after that wedding I had hoped to see them again.
Then surprisingly, at an intimate wedding show, they had a booth across the room from mine. We visited each other and, now, I’m super excited that I get to see them even more since I’ll be photographing their wedding. Universe, thanks for bringing us together those two times! (It felt like one of those, ‘do you believe in love at first sight or do I have to walk by you again?’ sort of things. heehee.)
We started their engagement session where it all started for them – the coffee shop where they first met. He used to manage the place and she’d stop by for their awesome offerings… and I’m not just talkin’ ’bout the coffee. 😛
She’d always wanted to lean over the counter to kiss him and during our shoot she got to. Aaah, love that!
He used to try to convince her to have the bran muffins he had made and she much preferred the banana chocolate chip – so we got one for her and topped it with her engagement ring for a sweet photo-op.
After some totally delish bevvies we headed to the park they used to walk to on his break – Marie Curtis Park is a lovely spot with trails and a little beach – a really nice place for a romantic stroll.
As the sun set and they walked down memory lane I felt totally lucky that they shared that piece of their history with me and I got to immortalize that for them in some photos.
Feelin’ all warm and fuzzy as I write this. *Sigh*
